Martínez Avezuela is an Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Drawings gallery created in November 2020. Our purpose is the study and promotion of drawing in all its aspects, without chronological limits. To this end, we publish an annual catalogue with a selection of Old Master drawings, and we propose collaborations with contemporary artists who develop specific projects with us.

We present a set of 18 unpublished drawings by Luis García Oliver (1907-1977), a painter belonging to a dynasty of Valencian-born artists who developed his career as a portrait painter in Barcelona. All the works correspond to the period 1924-1937, the formative years in which he created this magnificent gallery of intimate portraits, in which we find friends, relatives and a wide range of people.
