Martínez Avezuela is a gallery specialising in drawing created in November 2020. Our purpose is the study and promotion of drawing in all its aspects, without chronological limits. To this end, we publish an annual catalogue with a selection of Old Master drawings, and we propose collaborations with contemporary artists who develop specific projects with us.

Our gallery is partnered with Caylus.

Study of the portrait of the bullfighter Lagartijo, Rafael Molina Sánchez (Córdoba 1841-1900), for the painting Las cuadrillas de Frascuelo, Lagartijo y Mazzantini (MNCARS). This drawing accompanied the main work in its presentation at the National Exhibition of 1941 and, in 1949, it took part in the exhibition of the portrait of Manuel Rodríguez “Manolete” held in Barcelona and Madrid.
