About us
Martínez Avezuela is a gallery specialising in drawing created in November 2020. Our purpose is the study and promotion of drawing in all its aspects, without chronological limits. To this end, we publish an annual catalogue with a selection of Old Master drawings, and we propose collaborations with contemporary artists who develop specific projects with us.

Our gallery is partnered with Caylus.

The Art Deco bedroom design, created in 1914 by Francis Jourdain, shows the influence of Adolf Loos in the simplification of the lines and the concern for form over decoration. The spot light on the silk bedspread contrasts with the simplification of the design.

This work belongs to the exhibition EVERYTHING SOLID VANISHES IN THE AIR.
