  • Trained between Granada and Madrid, a friend of Lorca and Ángeles Ortiz, Ismael de la Serna found in the Old masters a clear reference point for his compositions, halfway between cubism and surrealism. In his imaginary we find references to Arcimboldo and Tiepolo, with whom this portrait of a kind of Bedouin in which he combines cactus, fabrics and organic forms to create a fantastic face is connected.
